Dyne started with one restaurant that needed it.

How it started

I built Dyne for one customer, a restaurant that needed it: a digital menu their guests could order from. Scan the code on the table, order on your phone, and the ticket appears on the kitchen screen.

While building it, I kept thinking that plenty of other restaurants must have exactly the same problem. So I decided to turn it into a service any restaurant can use. That's the whole reason Dyne exists.

What that means for how Dyne works

• It started from a real restaurant's needs, not from a feature list.
• It stays simple and cheap: one plan at $10 a month, no hardware and no contract.
• It works alongside your team. Guests who prefer a person still order with one, and payment stays at your cashier.
